Health workers conducted NTD screening and care sessions for 48 beneficiaries across Nima, Accra.
In February 2026, EXA-ANESVAD field teams partnered with community health workers to conduct NTD screening sessions across the Nima community in Accra. A total of 48 beneficiaries were assessed, with care referrals issued to those requiring follow-up medical attention.
The sessions included psychosocial support, health education on NTD prevention, and enrolment of eligible participants into the vocational training programme. Community leaders played a key role in mobilising residents and reducing stigma around NTD diagnosis.
